Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026
Who you're agreeing with
These terms are an agreement between you and NPS Services, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 86386034, at Keurenplein 41 Box A1726, 1069 CD Amsterdam, the Netherlands. NPS Services runs DataWiser ("DataWiser", "we", "us"). Our full details are on the company details page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle sells you the subscription, takes the payment, handles VAT and sales tax, and provides customer service for billing. When you buy a plan, you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms.
These terms cover the DataWiser panel at panel.datawiser.net, the DataWiser plugin, and this website. By creating an account, or by using the panel or the plugin, you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms and covers your players' data. If you use DataWiser for an organisation, you agree on its behalf.
If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights consumer law gives you.
What DataWiser is
DataWiser is a hosted analytics panel for Minecraft servers and networks. You install the DataWiser plugin on your servers (Paper, Spigot or Bukkit, Velocity or BungeeCord). The plugin reports player joins and quits and server health to the panel, which turns them into player, revenue and performance statistics and alerts.
The plugin. We give you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the plugin on your servers, to use with DataWiser, for as long as you have an account. You may not sell or redistribute the plugin, or change it to send us data it doesn't send by itself.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 to create an account, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email address up to date: password resets and alerts go there.
- Keep your login safe. Two-factor authentication is available to every account, and we recommend it. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Brands and teams. Each brand belongs to the account that created it. You can invite team members and choose which sections of the panel each one can open. You're responsible for who you invite and what you let them see. A team member's access depends on the brand owner's account: if that account is deleted or closed, its members lose access to the brand.
Your servers and server keys
Each server you add gets a server key. Anyone holding it can send data to that server as if they were it, so keep it secret. If a key leaks, rotate it on the server's page in the panel: the old key stops working right away, and you set the plugin up again with the new one.
Your players' data
The plugin sends us data about the players on your servers. For that data you are the controller, and we process it only on your behalf, under our data processing agreement. That means:
- You need a lawful basis to collect it, and you must tell your players about it, for example in your server's own privacy notice.
- Requests from your players to see or erase their data belong to you. A player's profile in the panel shows everything we hold about them, and we'll help you with any request, as the data processing agreement describes.
- The plugin cuts every player's IP address down on your server before anything is sent (IPv4 to a /24, IPv6 to a /48). We use that prefix to look up a country and then discard it.
Store connections
If you connect your store (Tebex today), you allow us to read its payments with the secret key you give us, so we can link purchases to players. We keep what that needs, and we drop the buyer's email address, IP address, postal address and real name before we process anything. Your store's secret key is encrypted, and once saved it can't be read back, not even by you.
Plans and billing
Plans and prices
Every feature is on every plan, including Free. Plans differ in one number: your peak players. The plans and their prices are on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and include any VAT or sales tax that applies. Paid plans have unlimited servers; the Free plan covers up to 3 servers.
How your plan is measured
Your billing number is your brand's third-highest daily peak over the last 30 days. A daily peak is the most players online at the same time that day, counted at your proxies and standalone servers only, so a player on a network is never counted twice. Days without a report count as zero. The panel shows your billing number, the three days it came from, and your plan's limit.
Paying
Paddle bills you at the start of each monthly or yearly period, and your plan renews automatically until you cancel. Paddle sends your receipts and invoices. You can change your payment method, see your invoices or cancel in Paddle's customer portal, linked from the Billing page in the panel. Each brand has its own subscription, and only the brand's owner can change its plan.
If a payment fails, Paddle tries again. While it does, and if the subscription is then cancelled, your brand is treated as being on the Free plan. Your data stays.
Changing plans
- Upgrades (a higher limit, or monthly to yearly) take effect immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the rest of the current period straight away.
- Downgrades (a lower limit, or yearly to monthly) also take effect immediately, and the unused part becomes a credit towards your next bill.
- We never change your plan on our own, and there are no automatic upgrades or overage charges. When your billing number has stayed under a cheaper plan's limit for 30 days, the panel tells you.
Going over your limit
We never stop recording your players because of your plan.
- When your billing number reaches 80% of your limit, the usage meter in the panel says so.
- When it goes over, you get a banner and one email naming the three peak days and the plan that fits. A 30-day grace period starts, during which everything keeps working. We remind you 7 days before it ends.
- If you're still over when the grace period ends, the Analytics, Revenue and Performance sections lock. Your data is still collected, and alerts, integrations, your team and billing keep working.
- Upgrading, or your billing number coming back under the limit, opens the locked sections again immediately, with your full history.
A new grace period only starts after your billing number has stayed under the limit for 30 days. The Free plan works the same way.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time on the Billing page, by switching to Free, or in Paddle's customer portal. Your paid plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for, and then your brand returns to Free. Cancelling deletes nothing: your history stays, and our normal retention periods keep running. If your brand is over the Free limit at that point, the grace period above applies. Subscriptions can't be paused.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Price changes
If we raise the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then, and you keep your current price until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Acceptable use
Don't use DataWiser to:
- break the law, or help someone else do so;
- commit fraud, or send spam;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- get around the panel's security, reach data from brands you don't belong to, or overload the service;
- resell or sublicense access to DataWiser;
- send us personal data the plugin doesn't send by itself.
Suspending and closing accounts
You can cancel your plan or delete your account at any time. How deletion works, including the 30 days in which you can change your mind, is in our privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for not paying, or where it puts the service, other customers or players at risk of fraud or a security problem. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right, unless the risk is urgent or the law prevents it.
- Suspending freezes your brands: the panel stops accepting data from your servers and your store, missed-heartbeat alerts stop, and your team members lose access. Nothing is deleted, and lifting the suspension resumes everything.
- Closing freezes your brands in the same way and cancels your subscriptions at the end of their period. A closed account is permanently deleted 90 days after we close it, unless we reopen it before then.
The service
We work hard to keep DataWiser running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. The plugin retries joins and quits for up to four minutes if the panel can't be reached, and keeps each event's real time. When data is missing, the panel shows it as unavailable.
We may change and improve DataWiser. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before we remove a feature that's part of a paid plan. To the extent the law allows, DataWiser is provided as it is, without other guarantees than those in these terms. If you're a consumer, the rights the law gives you when a service doesn't work as it should still apply.
Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for DataWiser in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage, or €100 if that is more. If you use DataWiser for a business, we're not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data.
These limits don't apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, to death or personal injury, or where the law doesn't allow liability to be limited. If you're a consumer, they don't limit any right consumer law gives you.
Your data and our software
Your data stays yours: what your servers and your store send us, and what you set up in the panel. You allow us to store and process it only to provide DataWiser to you and to keep it secure, as our privacy policy and data processing agreement describe. We own the panel, the plugin, this website and their content, and these terms don't transfer any of that to you.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. We'll email account holders about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country, and you can also take a dispute to the courts where you live.
